Happy Groundhog Day!
What a fun day for kids :) Today we not only talked about Punxsutawney Phil but also shadows, weather and the sun.
So grateful for technology! We watched the video of the announcement on the weather channel this morning at circle time. It brought this yearly event to life for the kids.
Below are a few other projects we did today
Tracing Shadows |
Using a flashlight |
They discovered that the closer the light the stronger the shadow! |
The kids folded up the paper and glued their person on so he / she stood up |
They also colored and cut out their own groundhog |
Layla found other objects to use on the shadow wall |
At circle we watched a YouTube video of this mornings news |
Our homemade sun dial ~ Charlie colored the groundhog for us |
The shadow moved this far in one hour! |
This is adorable, Megan! I love seeing all of the great things the kids are doing at school.
