Octopus

Today was the final day of our Under the Sea theme week. We explored and learned about octopus. The kids got the opportunity to have a hands on lesson while touching, looking and smelling one. 

A few facts we learned:

All types are venomous 

Femails can lay up to 1,000 eggs 

They have two rows of suckers on each of their 8 legs 

Finally, one fact that Kathy and I thought was interesting ... One arm of a male octopus is, well, special.
